“La Maison Darche”, the symbol of excellence in funeral services on Montreal’s South Shore. Founded by Edouard Darche in 1884, the company played a leading role in the local history of Chambly and became the role model for Quebec entrepreneurs of the time. It quickly became the leader in the funeral service industry by opening one of the first funeral homes in the province, while the tradition at the time was for bereaved families to lay their loved ones in state at the family home.

Under the direction of Bernard, the company became “La Maison Darche”. Being an entrepreneur, he proceeded to increase the number of funeral homes to six covering a large portion of the South Shore area. Brossard, St-Hubert, Longueuil (2), and Funeral home Henri Guérin in La Prairie.

Bernard et Sylvain Darche, realized that to be able to maintain quality services while keeping the company’s innovation capacities and meeting the challenge, they needed to become associated with an international partnership network such as “Dignity Memorial”.

Today, the company is managed by Sylvain Thériault and continues to honor a tradition of excellence and exceptional funeral services which has been the trademark of “La Maison Darche” since 1884.
